2022 BAND TRIP:  NORFOLK NATO FESTIVAL, NORFOLK, VA

Destination and Performance

      The CHS Mustang Marching Band will perform in the Norfolk NATO Festival’s Parade of Nations on Saturday, April 30th.  The NATO Festival features its annual Parade of Nations, the longest continuously running parade in Hampton Roads and the only parade in the United States honoring NATO! Over 100 Parade Units with local and visiting High School bands, U.S. and International Military bands, and colorful floats which represent each of the NATO Member Nations! Local community organizations and Festival partners are also featured.

  • Spirit Cruise ⛴ Dinner on the historic Elizabeth River including dinner, D.J. dancing and exciting skyline views including the Navy's Atlantic Fleet

  • Attend the Virginia International Tattoo 🎶 signature event of the Virginia Arts Festival. Tattoo is an exhibition of  military bands massed pipes and drums, military drill teams, Celtic dancers , and choirs involving a cast of over 1,000 artists from many different countries 

  • Visit Nauticus, a maritime – themed Science Center and museum located on the downtown Waterfront in Norfolk, Virginia,  also known as the National Maritime Center

  • Dinner in the downtown Waterfront Norfolk area

  • Attend the Virginia International Music Festival’s award ceremony at Chrysler Hall

  • Dinner at the Tattoo

  • Visit the action-packed European-theme park Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Enjoy thrilling rides 🎢 stage shows, attractions, exhibits and eateries for lunch and dinner in the park.  Park includes themed areas of England, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland and Ireland 

  • Tour of Colonial Wiliamsburg. A glimpse of eighteenth-century Life highlights include the Capitol, the Palace🏰, the home of George White, the Powder Magazine and the College of William and Mary.

What is the cost per student?  

      The all inclusive cost per student (including all meals) is $1400.  Additional fundraising events will be planned to help offset the final costs. The final amount to be announced at the March 2022 General Meeting.

 

What is the payment schedule?

Payment #1, $400, Due June 8, 2021

Payment #2, $350, Due September 7, 2021

Payment #3, $350, Due December 7, 2021

Payment #4, $300, Due March 8, 2022

 

For freshmen, Payment #1 & #2 are both due on September 8, 2021.
